On September 14chef Michel PORTOS, owner of the restaurant Les Jardins du Cloîtrewith Le Cloître Apprentis d'Auteuil in coproduction with Provence Tourisme, with the participation of Disciples d'Escoffier, and the CFA Corot organize Le Grand Banquet de la Digue du Large in Marseille, to offer an extraordinary dinner along a table bringing together 400 guests.

The banquet will welcome 100 volunteers from local associations, an opportunity to thank them for their daily commitment.

AN EXTRAORDINARY PLACE -

Discover the new face of the digue du Large 

Closed to the public for almost 20 years, the digue du Large has been restored this spring by the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille (GPMM) as a place for locals to celebrate and share. This 7-km coastal promenade offers a spectacular panorama of the sea to the north of the city, between the Vieux-Port and l'Estaque.

ACCESS: To get there, the only shuttle will leave at 7pm from La Samaritaine, 2 quai du Port 13003 MARSEILLE.

At this event, teams ofapprentice cooks and apprentice waiters in training at the restaurant Les Jardins du Cloître and at CFA Corot Formation will help prepare and serve the banquet.

Guided by our top chefs in the kitchen, they will practice in an unusual but highly instructive context: preparing, transporting and serving nearly 400 covers outdoors in an unlikely location.
